Chris Gayle also departed soon after the powerful with a score of only 13 from 16 balls. Then it was the Shimron Hetmyer show. He Scoring 61 off 36 balls. Dwayne Bravo also assisted him with 47 off 34 deliveries not out. Delivering the final blow Andre Russell scored a quick 24 of just 8 balls. Putting their total score just 4 short of 200. Aston agar was the pick of the bowling unit. Giving just 28 off his 4 over and picking a wicket too.
Chasing 197 Australia was put back by Matthew Wade getting out on duck facing only 2 balls. Skipper Finch departed soon in the fourth over. The run rate was not the issue when josh Phillipe was dismissed on 13 off 12 balls. Mitchell Marsh was putting up a fight with his 54 off 42. But none of the other batsmen supported him. Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, and Fidel Edwards all picked up 1-1 wickets. Hayden Walsh Jr was again impressive with his 3 for 29 in his 4 overs. Sheldon Cottrell took 2 of 22 in 2 overs.
West Indies showed they are a big contender for the upcoming T20 world cup. Which will be hosted in Dubai.
