The session started in a similar fashion with runs coming consistently. KL Rahul ( 84 runs from 214 balls, 12(4) ) got another life as joe Root dropped a sitter at first slip in the 67th over from James Anderson. But Anderson finally got his man in his next over caught behind. With this wicket his passes Anil Kumble in the most wicket’s list. Jasprit Bumrah was a problem for the England team on day 1.

Anderson took another wicket with Shardul Thakor ( 0 from 6 balls ) not moving from his crease and got caught at first slip by Joe Root. It was then Ravindra Jadeja’s turn to pick his shots. He soon got to his 50 with a boundary over the mid-on region. What a powerful pickup shot.

But Jadeja ( 56 runs from 86 balls, 8(4) 1(6) ) tried to hit one too many. Ollie Robinson’s length ball would go straight up in the air while trying to go down the ground. He was caught at mid-off. India were 232/8 in 75 overs.

Shami and Bumrah’s cameo helped India reach the lead of 95 runs. Shami ( 13 runs from 20 balls ) was bowled by Ollie Robinson with a new ball. While Jasprit Bumrah ( 28 runs from 34 balls, 3(4) 1(6) ) could not control a short of the length delivery from Robinson to get caught at deep fine-leg. Good catch from Stuart Broad. It was the end of the inning for India. As they finished with 278 onboard. Great Performance from Ollie Robinson.
