Argentina won the Copa America final 1-0 defeating Brazil. It’s their First title after 1993.
Brazil lead the game in possession and in shots but Ángel Di Marías early goal in the first half came a great help to seal the win , the goal came in the 21′ of the game , it was a lovely chip over the keeper .
The Argentinian keeper, Emiliano Martinez, saved many of the great chances created by the Brazil team, he was on his toes all the time.
Brazil’s Richarlison nearly equalized the game but the goal was ruled out by the line referee , he also nearly scored a goal but it was saved by the Argentinian keeper . Brazil led the possession by 60-40 percentage and taking a total of 13 shots. while Argentina only taking 6 shots. Both teams had only 2 shots on target.
Argentina won the title after 28 years and equalizes the record with Uruguay by winning 15 Copa America titles each. With that, it was Lionel Messi’s first trophy with his nation. Before this title, Lionel Messi hadn’t won any trophy with his national team Argentina.
