The partnership between the DC skipper Rishabh Pant and former skipper Shreyas Iyer gave Delhi the cushion to chase down the target.
However, MI are always dangerous when it’s do or die, they kept their patience and were rewarded with some wickets of Pant and Axar Patel.
Delhi using the momentum of Hetmyer’s lightning cameo and the experience of Ravichandran Ashwin, won the match with a six on the very first ball of the last over. Ashwin was the hero and that is the reason he is in the upcoming world cup squad for India.
Axar Patel earns the man of the match for his fantastic performance.

MI’s chances after MI vs DC clash.
MI are tied with KKR and PBKS at 10 points but with a negative NRR which gives them a disadvantage. KKR is having the upper hand with a better NRR.
MI will now face RR and SRH which are winnable for them. Meanwhile, their competitors will be facing RCB and CSK for PBKS and SRH and RR for KKR. In the match-up section too, KKR has the same matchups as MI.
It will be a tough call. On the other hand, DC are tied with CSK in points but Dhoni and the team have a game in hand.
