T20 World Cup warm-up India vs Australia: Ravidra Jadeja and Aaron Finch

T20 World Cup 2021, UAE: India after an emphatic win against England, were ready to face Australia in the last warm-up match of their campaign. Given a fantastic start by the Indian bowlers India wrapped up the match by 8 wickets win.

Taking a gamble and deciding to bat first in UAE has not paid dividends for the Australian team as they were bowled out for 152. Thanks to Smith’s and Stoinis’s late push they gathered around some important runs.

Spinner trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rahul Chahar were brilliant, picking up four wickets between them. Ashwin especially was superb, bowling two overs and picking up two wickets.

Low scoring slump continues for David Warner(1), who was trapped LBW playing the reverse sweep. The skipper, Aaron Finch(8), too didn’t have the desired outing as he too was found LBW. Coming from a high series in West Indies and Bangladesh Mitchell Marsh(0) was handed a golden duck on his birthday.

The RCB hero Glenn Maxwell(37) extends his run of form showing himself as a real threat to the opponent. But Stoinis was the guy to put on a show with unbeaten 41* off 25 balls including four fours and a six. Steve Smith(57) navigated the innings with authority to blast a half-century. And form crucial partnerships at the end.

Varun Chakravarthy was not himself tonight but it was his first outing with India. On the counterpart, Rahul Chahar was good with the economy as well as taking a wicket of dangerous Maxwell. Virat Kohli had his hands swinging around bowling two overs going for 12 runs.

Trying eight bowlers, Australia were experimenting with their squad, a lot. The only wicket taken was from Ashton Agar of KL Rahul. Other than that, now of the bowlers succeded.

Not having the desired match last time, Suryakumar Yadav(38) crushed the opponents this time around. Being unbeaten with Hardik Pandya(14*), Surya finished the innings with 2.1 overs to spare.
