VIVO Pro Kabaddi 2021 highlights: Tamil Thalaivas earns a major victory over UP Yoddha. They made sure to restrict Pardeep Narwal to just 6 points for a 39-33 win.
Surender Gill emerged with a super-10, as Pardeep Narwal is struggling to find his form. He finished with 14 points and kept UP in level with Tamil Thalaivas in raiding.
No one in the Tamil Thalaivas got to a Super-10 however, many raiders scored to end with 21 points. Just one less than UP’s 22 points. Manjeet ended with seven points, Ajinkya Pawar with six points, and K Prapanjan with four points.
Tamil Thalaivas gave an early all-out to UP Yoddha and led by 7 points, 12 minutes into the first half. UP Yoddha struggled to keep the lead down and Tamil made a huge effort to not let the lead go below 6 points.
At the end of the first half, Tamil Thalaivas were leading by 11 points. Not a big lead considering Pardeep Narwal’s presence in the court. Everyone hoping for Pardeep to fire, went home gloomy.
In the second half, UP Yoddha grabbed two super-tackles and cut the lead to six points. The lead was decreasing rapidly and was tied when Tamil Thalaivas were given their first all-out.
Tamil however again started to pull away again making a six-point lead with five minutes to go. It suddenly jumped to 8 points after UP Yoddha took a second all-out hit.
