NBA tip-off day, Warriors vs Lakers scoreboard: Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers were in a fighting battle to start the season being victorious. As it happened, the Warriors with their team effort blown the Lakers 121-114.

Playing their away game, Stephen Curry led with a 21 points triple-double to make sure the Lakers continue their NBA pre-season losing streak.

The six-times NBA champs, Golden State Warriors took advantage of the lack of chemistry from the Los Angeles Lakers. While they however were buttery smooth in their rotation and passing on both ends.

For the host, Lebron James and Anthony Davis were picture-perfect but lack the most needed support from their mates. Lakers looked rusty during the outing and unable to deal with the ball rotation of the opponent.

Six players from the visitors scored in double digits. The young core shines brightly especially the 22-year-old, Jordan Poole scoring 20 points. The veteran Andre Igoudala was brilliant making the floor stretch giving the Warriors the boost whenever needed.

“It feels like five or six years ago when we just have guys up and down the roster who can play,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said postgame. “I mean, we have guys who are injured who can play. I think we’re really deep.”

Golden State Warriors reserves outscored Los Angeles Lakers 55-29. Gary Payton II was the only player, who only played seven seconds, to not put his name on their scoresheet.

For the sluggish Lakers, Lebron and Davis combined for 67 points but no other player could touch even the double-digit mark.

Up until the second half, the Lakers were the one leading the game, however, they were outscored by 22-5 by the Warriors starting a run to close the third quarter and four minutes into the fourth as well.

Westbrooke’s debut was a nightmare for him playing 35 minutes to manage just eight points, five rebounds, and four assists. With four turnovers and shooting just around 30 % from the field was not what LAL expected.

Frank Vogel: “Him more than anybody, it’s going to be an adjustment period. He’s coming into our culture, our system. He’s the new guy. He’s got to find his way.”
