Pro Kabaddi League Season 8: The most successful franchise of PKL, Patna Pirates, gets rid of U Mumba with an emphatic show on the mat, 43-23. The important stat fact was that Pirates collected 18 tackle points.
Neeraj Kumar was not getting anyone off the mat as he grabbed 8 players. His tackle rate was also very impressive and he led his team in highest points in this match.
For U Mumba, it was a disappointing outing. From their raiders to defenders everybody was basically playing sluggishly. It seems they lost the battle well before regulation time.
Abhishek Singh led them with 8 raid points but the support came from none other. Prathap S finishes with 2 points and also ended 2 points was Mohsen Maghsoudlou.
Patna Pirates outscored their opponents in every department. They were up 19-12 in raiding and 18-9 in tackle points. Mumba who are known for their defense, which is led by Fazel Atrachali, failed to make a scratch.
U Mumba were given an all-out in just 6 minutes of the start. The lead grew to 11 points with just 10 minutes in. However, Mumba started to recover from their defensive effort but it was not enough to stop Patna’s quest.
A moment of magic at the very end of the first half from Rinku was as he single-handedly tackled Sachin Tawar. At that point though, Patna led 19-9.
Performing way better in the second half as compared to the first half but Patna performed even better. Neeraj Kumar was the force against which U Mumba had nothing much. It was just a brutal beating for the red army.
Ashish Kumar led U Mumba in defense with three tackles including a super tackle. Rinku supported but nothing out of ordinary except that single tackle.
Patna now leads the PKL season 8 with 34 points. Dabang Delhi lost the momentum against
