Pakistan tour of West Indies 2021. T20 series was won by Pakistan 1-0 after 3 matches were washed out due to rain. Now it was the time for 2 test matches. The first test was played at Sabina Park.

A good start from Pakistan was disrupted when Kemar Roach and Seales took a wicket each in consecutive overs. Pakistan 21-2 ( 8 overs ).

Rain showed up after 17 overs of play and had to stop the play. Play restarted with Babar Azam showing his class.

Azhar Ali and Babar Azam both departed in consecutive overs as well. Pakistan 68-4 ( 32.1 overs ).

Fawad Alam was the highest scorer for Pakistan with 56 runs. With Faheem Ashraf supporting him scoring 44 runs. Pakistan would be bowled out for 217 runs.

West Indies starting the innings were 2-2 at the end of the 4th over with Mohammad Abbas striking twice.

Roston Chase and Jermaine Blackwood had a nice cameo but could not do much.

Kraigg Braithwaite was the highest scorer just shy of a century. While Jason Holder’s 58 runs ensured that West Indies lead the first innings.

West Indies was all out for 253. Leading by 36 runs.

Pakistan 203. Batting disappoints again.

Pakistan losing an early wicket at the start of 2nd innings. Some decent partnerships were built but could not prosper enough.

Skipper, Babar Azam, scored 55 runs being the highest scorer. While many batters got starts but could not convert into big scores. Pakistan was bowled out on 203.

Jayden Seales took a 5 wickets haul While Kemar Roach took 3 wickets.

Chasing 168 runs, West Indies lost 3 early wickets for just 16 runs. West Indies were walking on a slippery road, They can stumble anytime.

The partnership between Chase and Blackwood was very crucial. With Blackwood scoring 55 runs and Chase with 22 runs.

The problem for West Indies was that wickets were tumbling at regular intervals. It was not sure of which way the game was going.

Kemar Roach’s last push with his 30 runs closed out the match with 1 wicket in hand. Nail-bitting finish to the match. Still, the match would have gone either way.

Shaheen Afridi was brilliant with his 4 wickets. While Hasan Ali also supported him well with 3 wickets. Good effort from Pakistan as well but they nearly missed out.
