Kevin De Bruyne, Jorginho, and Ngolo Kante are nominated for the UEFA player of the year in the men’s section. While Jennifer Hermoso, Lieke Martens, and Alexia Putellas are nominated for the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award.
In the coaching category, Pep Guardiola, Roberto Mancini, and Thomas Tuchel are nominated for Men’s Coach of the Year. Barcelona coach Lluis Cortes and Sweden manager Peter Gerhardsson are also on the shortlist with Chelsea’s Emma Hayes.

KDB has been shortlisted because of the success Manchester City had by winning the Premier League and also the Carabao Cup. They also reached the UEFA Champions League’s finals but were handed a 1-0 loss from Chelsea with Jorginho and Kante in the Chelsea side.

Hermoso, Martens, and Putellas all started the Champions League final in Gothenburg, as Barcelona thrashed Chelsea 4-0 – with Hermoso finishing as joint top scorer in the competition. Barcelona won both Champions League as well as Primera Divison last season.

Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola are nominated for the coach of the year. They will be again head to head for the title of best coach. Roberto Mancini is selected as the nominee for managing the Italian team in the UEFA euros.
Emma Hayes selected despite the loss.
Chelsea’s women coach Emma Hayes is nominated for the Women’s Coach of the Year award despite the defeat in the Champions League finale vs Barcelona. Although they won the Women’s super league title. Barcelona coach Lluis Cortes and Sweden manager Peter Gerhardsson are also on the shortlist.
