For England, Jonny Bairstow was the hero. A hundred in the first innings and 41 in the second innings showed the hunger to fight till the end.

SCG pitch showed lots of bounce, even more than usual. In that sense, batting was somewhat difficult but on both sides, it was an equally good effort.

Haseeb Hameed struggles again and it’s time now to get Rory Burns back for the fifth Test. Also, a long-overdue change is dropping Jack Leach and playing Dom Bess. Yes, I know he picked four wickets in the second innings but he is not that effective.

Australia 3-0 up and one Test match to go. Will England avoid the whitewash or will Australia enforce a whitewash, that is to be seen.
