Australia’s tour of the West Indies. AUS vs WI 4th T20I was a roller coaster ride. A nail-biting finish to a very entertaining match. Australia opted for a different strategy this time around. They won the toss and decided to bat first. Playing 11 for the Australian side were as follows: Aaron Finch (c), Matthew Wade (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Moises Henriques, Alex Carey, Ashton Turner, Daniel Christian, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Riley Meredith, Jason Behrendorff. West Indies playing 11: Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Andre Russell, Fabian Allen, Hayden Walsh, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas, Akeal Hosein.

Australia Innings ended with a score of 189/6 in 20 overs.

Australia lost the opener, Matthew Wade, in the 2nd over. Nicholas Pooran caught him behind in Oshane Thomas’s bowling. Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh both started to score freely and with a very fast run rate. None of the bowling changes were working. Finally, West Indies managed to break the partnership in the 12th over which was bowled by Hayden Walsh. He cleaned off the Australian skipper who was playing at the score of 53 runs from 37 balls hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes. The very next ball Alex Carey was the man to go with a first-ball duck. Moises Henriques also didn’t last long and went back to Pavillion in the very next over by Andre Russell. Mitchell Marsh didn’t have any impact on the falling wickets.

Ashton Turner was next in the wicket columns. Hayden Walsh spun a web around Aston Turner to get him. Mitchell Marsh’s fabulous innings came to an end on the first ball of the 18th over. Fabian Allen took care of the business finishing his spell with a crucial wicket and giving 31 runs in his 4 overs. Daniel Christian took off in the final phase to post a 189 run scored. He scored 22 runs from 14 balls. Hayden Walsh was the pick of the bowling unit with his 4-0-37-3 figures.

West Indies innings was just 5 runs short of the target.

Evin Lewis was set from the dressing room and started the innings with a fest of boundaries. Lendl Simmons supported him. in the 5th over, Bowling change of bringing Adam Zampa worked, who bowled Evin Lewis at 31 runs facing only 14 balls. Simmons looked to finished the match as soon as possible with his intelligent hitting. Mitchell Marsh picked up Gayle in the 8th over. Andre Flecher followed his mate into Pavillion by playing just 10 balls. Zampa was again in action. They were 97/3 when Flecher departed. Nicholas Pooran also didn’t stand till last and Mitchell Marsh got him with just 16 runs in the 16th over. Lendl Simmons was gone in the very next ball scoring 72 from 48 balls.

Andre Russell and Fabian Allen took off after that. Which was proving very difficult for the Australian bowler to stop them. At the last ball of the 19th over Riley Meredith finally got 1 wicket in the form of Fabian Allen. He scored a quick 14 balls 29 runs. It was the last over and only 11 to win, with Andre Russell on strike. Mitchell Starc took the final over. He bowled it brilliantly with 5 dot balls before going for six in the final ball.
