FIFA World Cup Qualifier: In Matchday 10 against Bolivia the Lionel Messi scores all three goals for Argentina. Match ended with Argentina winning. With possession of 71%, Argentina dominated the game and took 24 shots from which only 7 were on target. Messi completed the hat-trick in the 88th minute of the game.
Lionel Messi has scored his 79th international career goal for Argentina, surpassing the South American men’s record held by Brazil legend Pele.
The Argentina captain then moved one clear of Pele in the 64th minute with his second of the night, surging into the Bolivian box and playing a one-two with Lautaro Martinez before tucking away a finish from close range.
Messi completed the seventh international hat-trick of his career two minutes from time, burying a rebound from close range after a shot from the edge of the area was only parried by Lampe.
Brazil vs Peru:
Brazil also continuing the Qualifier with a win against Peru. Neymar jr. and Everton Ribeiro contributed to the win. The full-time score was 2 goals to 0. Brazil currently is 1st in the qualifier standing with 24 points, while Argentina is second with 18 points. Not much difference in the possession but surprisingly Peru was the one to take 12 shots but unfortunately, only 1 was on target. On the other hand, Brazil took 10 shots with 4 shots on target.
Chile vs Columbia:
Chile lost against Columbia with 3-1 being the end scoreline. Miguel Borja scored 2 goals for Columbia. Luis Dias also contributed to the win. Only Jean Meneses was the one to score for Chile. The game was very much equal till the end in terms of possession and shots but Columbia came out better in finishing than Chile.
Paraguay vs Venezuela:
Paraguay came out to be better in their match-up against Venezuela in the qualifier. The match ended in 2-1 in favor of Paraguay. Alejandro Romero and David Martínez were the ones to score for Paraguay. Jhon Chancellor scored for Venezuela but the team couldn’t find the win they wanted.
Uruguay vs Ecudor:
The match-up between Uruguay and Ecuador was pretty much equal but the winner scored by Gaston Pereiro in stoppage time was very important for Uruguay. It was a very dirty game with 27 fouls done by both sides. Uruguay had 55% of the possession and took 9 shots but only managed to get 1 on target.
