Talks started on Thursday just after Barcelona’s official statement about Lionel Messi leaving. PSG was the only club to directly talk with Jorge and Lionel Messi without any intermediary.

The agreement is signed until June 2023 plus the option to the extent till 2024. Lionel Messi will receive €25 million net salary per season plus add ons. While total salary including add ons will be almost €35 million per season.
Messi turned down bids from Manchester City and PSG in April as he wanted to stay in Barcelona. Now PSG was trying again and Messi accepted after leaving as per La-Liga rules.
