Brazil vs Spain (Gold medal match):
Brazil won against Spain in the final of Tokyo Olympic 2020 football taking home the gold medal. Brazil was the team to score the first goal of the match in the first half. Spain is determined to win equalized in the second half, pushing the match to extra time. Brazil scored the decider in the second half of extra time and won the match and gold medal by 2-1.
Mexico vs Japan (Bronze medal match):
Mexico took the bronze medal home winning against the host. Mexico won by 3-1 after getting defeated by Brazil in the semi-finals. The first half of the match was a decider itself. Mexico scored 2 goals in the opening half. Japan tried by scoring a goal but was not able to defeat Mexico. The host were not able to win any medal in football
Women’s Final:
Canada vs Sweden (Gold medal match):
Canada were the team to take the gold medal home against Sweden. it was an intense match that went to a penalty shoot-out. The first half ended 1-0 in Sweden’s favor. Canada equalized in the second half forcing the match in extra time. The extra time also couldn’t decide the match. At last, Canada won the match in a penalty shootout by 3 goals to 2 with a full-time score of 1-1. Canada defeated Brazil in the quarterfinals.
United States vs Australia (Bronze medal match):
United states bags home the bronze medal by being victorious against Australia. The first half ended in United states favor with 2 goals lead. The match intensified in the second half as Australia scored 2 goals but were not able to defeat United States. The match ended in regular time with scores, United states 4-3 Australia.
