Premier League: Chelsea and Liverpool play out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their clash at Stamford Bridge, although the result favors neither team and their title aspirations.
Chelsea remains in second place and Liverpool is in third as both sides remain well off the pace of Manchester City at the top of the table.
The Reds were determined to take their title aspirations and turn them into a reality. On the other side, Chelsea too were interested in winning this match.
Chelsea somehow managed to keep the ball rolling in the opposing half and tried their luck 16 times towards a 22-year-old Liverpool keeper. Liverpool also tried a few to test the Chelsea keeper.
Both the teams had an equal amount of possession in the whole match. Chelsea had 56% and the rest was the Reds’ time.

The first half saw the whole main plot. The first half was blessed with 4 goals, 2 each on both sides. And many lose chances too.
Liverpool made the first move and were able to finish the ball in the net. Mane capitalized on a mistake from Chalobah and hammered a left-footed strike into an empty net.
Chalobah tried to head a cross from Jota away from danger but slipped and guided the ball straight to Mane. The Senegalese rounded Mendy before dispatching his effort past Silva on the line.
The Reds doubled their advantage as Salah coasted in down the right flank before beating Mendy at his near post. Alexander-Arnold played Salah into space in the right inside channel and he ran to the byline. He found enough room to cut back on his left foot to blast a strike into the right corner of the net. It was a fine strike from Salah.
Chelsea were back in the game courtesy of a special effort from Kovacic in the 42nd minute. Alonso drilled a free-kick towards the right post that required Kelleher to punch it away from danger amid the threat to his goal and Rudiger on the charge.
However, Kovacic pounced on the loose ball on the edge of the box, striking a first-time volley into the top right corner with the aid of the post giving the Liverpool keeper no chance. There was a slight delay for a VAR check for offside, but the goal stood.
Just scoring the first Chelsea equalized in 45+ 1. The American missed a sitter earlier in the game, but on this occasion, he held his composure to hook a strike into the top-right corner.
Rudiger won a 50/50 challenge at midfield before Kante lifted a ball over the top of the Liverpool defense. Pulisic took it in stride before firing over Kelleher into the back of the net.
The second half was a silent one, Just the opposite of the first. No goals were scored in the second half. Both the teams could get close to scoring but couldn’t finish the moves.
Every chance created was either saved by the keeper, was cleared by the defense, or missed by the player. But the match was a clear menace and full of drama. The fans really enjoyed the game.
