However, Chelsea failed to notch the second goal as Thiago Silva struck the post, while Nick Pope made a number of fine stops, including one to deny Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Clarets were rewarded for their resilience as Jay Rodriguez was smart to pick out Vydra with a header that allowed the forward to slot a strike past Edouard Mendy to earn his team a share of the spoils.

At 77th visitors were level as Chelsea paid for their lack of clinical edge. Lowton hooked a cross into the box towards the back post where Rodriguez unselfishly headed into the path of Vydra. The forward slotted his effort past Mendy to notch the equalizer for the Clarets.
Chelsea couldn’t do anything after the equalizer and dropped 2 points, receiving only 1 in their account.
Six of the seven points Burnley has won against Chelsea in the Premier League have come at Stamford Bridge (W1 D3 L4).
Despite coming back to earn a point, Burnley has failed to win any of their 10 Premier League games against sides starting the day of the table (D5 L5).
Chelsea had 25 shots in this match, their most in a Premier League home game they failed to win since August 2015 against Crystal Palace (26 shots, lost 2-1).
