Indian Premier League’s Twitter handle announced the remaining schedule for IPL UAE. There will be a total of 31 matches. Three venues are selected.
UAE the saviour for IPL 2021.
After being hit by the COVID-19 crisis, IPL was called off halfway. Many players were infected by the virus too including Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha, Varun Chakravarthy, Sandeep Warrier, Nitish Rana, Devdutt Padikkal, Daniel Sams, Axar Patel.
Other than players, Laxmipati Balaji ( Bowling Coach of Chennai ), Kasi Vishwanath ( CSK CEO ), Kiran Moore ( Talent Scout for MI ), DDCA ground staff ( 5 members ), Wankhede ground staff ( Team of 11 members ), Broadcast team ( 14 members ), were also tested positive.
It was unsure if IPL 2021 will continue or will the season be called off. There were many speculations but now UAE has emerged as a savior for BCCI. UAE is ready to host the IPL 2021’s remaining matches.
IPL restarts from 19 september.
BCCI announced a month ago that IPL will continue with UAE being the host. And now the picture is completely clear.
Twitter handle @IPL said it all. A total of 31 matches are to be played in 3 different venues. With Dubai ( 13 ) getting the most matches, Sharjah ( 10 ) is also a venue, Abu Dhabi ( 8 ) is getting the fewest matches.
Regular matches start from 19th September, While Playoffs start from 10th October. The final will be held on 15th October in Dubai.
Chennai vs Mumbai are restarting the campaign and Bangalore vs Delhi will end the campaign.

World Cups starting from 24th October.
With Icc declaring the schedule of T20 world cups, many players have withdrawn their names. Players like Jos Butter, Pat Cummins, Kane Richardson, Jhye Richardson, Ben Stokes, Jorfra Archer, etc are not available.
While likes of Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner saw this opportunity to practice their T20 game. It will be fun to watch.
Teams have already started the preps.
With IPL in mind, many teams have already started their preparation in UAE. Chennai was the quickest to respond and the first to reach UAE. They are training hard to win their 4th IPL trophy.
Delhi Capitals have also moved to UAE to deepen the training and know the condition better. Indian team players will directly join their respective teams from the tour of England.
