Pro Kabaddi League Season 8: Dabang Delhi tops the table with a one-point win over Telugu Titans, 36-35. Credit goes to Naveen Kumar who raided single-handedly.
Out of the 36 points, Delhi scored, 25 points were collected by Naveen Kumar only. No other players scored more than two points.
On the other end, Rajnish Dalal answered Naveen’s performance with 20 point game. His performance kept the Titans in the game raiding-wise. Rohit Kumar scored one point in the first raid and then was silent for the entire match.
Delhi despite getting all-out twice were able to maintain that one-point lead. They outscored Telugu by one point in raiding and two in tackle points.
Telugu was the one to take the upper hand by giving Delhi an all-out. Although Telugu got two extra points they were still trailing.
The score at the end of the first half was tied 18-18. Out of which, 14 points were scored by Naveen Kumar alone for Delhi.
In the second half, the game was open for both teams to make progress. Delhi was the first one to gain momentum and give Telugu an all-out. Though the game changed and Telugu leveled the score with yet another all-out.
On the other end, before the all-out, Naveen Kumar completed his 100 points this season. With five minutes to go, Telugu led the game, 33-32. But soon found themselves trailing by one.
The last thirty seconds were remaining and Naveen Kumar was raiding with two points in their hands. It was a do-or-die raid and Delhi gifted that point to Telugu but took the match.
Talking about the PKL season 8 points table, Dabang Delhi holds the lead with three points over the Bulls. However, that could change if Pirates can take down the Thalaivas in the next encounter.
