Pro Kabaddi League Season 8: It was Pawan Kumar versus Dabang Delhi. Delhi scored 22 points while Pawan alone scored 27 points. Naveen “Express” Kumar was absent and it was game-changing.
The hosts scored 35 raid points against Dabang Delhi’s 16. It was just a day to forget for the Delhi team. Bengaluru Bulls gave a horror show to the visitors and it was very disappointing.
The first 9 minutes were equal and in fact, it was Bulls down to just three men but leading by one point at 6-5. A super tackle changed the whole game of the match. From one to two and then an all-out was led by that super tackle.
Pawan Kumar was just unstoppable. He started rusty but coming to the end of the first half he was showing his true colors. Already at halftime, the lead grew to 16 points but Dabang Delhi was expected to counter back strongly which by the way didn’t happen at all.
The second half too presents itself in a similar fashion. Pawan Kumar seems to have a good hold on the opposition. He finished with 22 touchpoints and Dabang Delhi with all its effort could manage the same 22 points.
It was expected for Delhi to struggle offensively but only four tackle points came as a surprise. Vijay Malik, Manjeet Chhillar, Joginder Singh Narwal, and Mohammad Malak won a piece of tackle points.
Only once did Delhi come close to giving the Bulls an all-out at the start however, they failed to convert. On the contrary, Bengaluru Bulls were able to give 5 all-outs to their opposition.
Saurabh Nandal, Mahender Singh, and Aman picked up 3 tackle points each. While Chandran Ranjit and Bharat usually known for their raiding skills fetched two tackle points each.
Ashu Malik and Vijay Malik grabbed three raid points which are the highest. In the first encounter, Haryana Steelers played a tie against UP Yoddha. The biggest takeaway is that Pardeep Narwal finished with only 6 points. Are the big bucks giving the pressure or it is just a rough phase for the raiding machine?
