Pro Kabaddi League, Season 8: What seemed to be a one-sided affair has turned out a nightmare for Gujarat Giants. Puneri Paltan found the perfect rhythm to take down the two-time finalists.
Puneri Paltan led the match out of the blocks and took four extra all-out points in their favor. Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants were unable to give an all-out to the Paltan. That was the morale of the match for Gujarat. They need to be ruthless and attentive when their opponents are on the verge of an all-out.
Mohit Goyat banged hard with a super-10. Aslam Inamdar has been amazing this season, collecting points on both ends of the floor. He finished with 8 points, four raid points, and two tackle points.
On the other end, Ajay Kumar also secured a super-10. The hero so far, Rakesh Sungroya had only 8 points while Rakesh Narwal could manage one. Though, Gujarat Giants led by one in raid points.
The defenders didn’t have a good game with seven tackle points for each team. Parvesh and Sunil picked two each while Ravinder Pahal could take one. For the Paltan, Aslam Inamdar successfully tackled two times and five defenders scored a point each.
After the first all-out, Gujarat regrouped themselves and got Puneri Paltan down to four men, however, they could not convert that all-out. On the contrary, Gujarat was on the verge of having a second all-out themselves.
The second half started and the second all-out was enforced. That gave their opponent 7 points lead. So many errors were done by the Gujarat defense and they could not recover from that deficit.
