Ronaldo then scored a lovely lob after Fred caught out Villarreal’s defense and Sancho rounded it off late on with his first goal for the club.

It was a close match for both the teams except the brilliant finishing by Manchester United which led them to 2 goals win. Villarreal with 13 shots taken and United with 11 shots taken they were separated only by the goals.

The actions were in the second half of the match when the goal threat was more and time was less. Cristiano Ronaldo the golden man for united scored the first goal of the match.

Fred did brilliantly to close down Capoue when Rulli played out from the back and his pressure knocked the ball back into Ronaldo.

He turned and spotted the keeper rushing off his line, so lobbed the shot over him and into the back of the net. It was 1-0 for united.

Fred did well to win the ball back again in his own half, and he set United on the counter. Fernandes touched it into Sancho on the right of the box. The defenders were slow to get out to him, and he fired his shot past Rulli and into the roof of the net for his first United goal.
