WTA Rankings: Garbine Muguruza takes the third spot.

WTA Rankings, November 2021: The recent WTA Finals 2021 winner grabs the third spot in the latest WTA Rankings. Despite having a rough season Ashleigh Barty still holds the No. 1 spot in the world.

An unexpected result for the Czech Barbora Krejcikova in the WTA Finals, ending without a win slides two places from third to fifth in the Rankings. However, she and her doubles partner Siniakova are World No. 1 in doubles.

The Belarusian also not having an ideal end to her 2021 season finds herself unmoved in the second spot. Winning the Mutua Madrid Open, Semifinals in the Wimbledon, Semifinals in National Bank Open, US Open semifinals, Quarterfinals at Miami, and Round of 16 in Australia were the results. Starting the season with 10th Rank, Aryna Sabalenka has improved her ranking too fast.

Three final appearances in the 2021 season, Karolina Pliskova, has to end her journey without a title. Camila Giorgi defeated her in Montreal, while Barty got the better of the Czech in Wimbledon and Iga gave an embarrassing loss 6-0, 6-0 in Italy.

The greek star is settled on the sixth spot with a fine display throughout this season. The semifinals in Roland Garros and US Open were a major achievement. Maria Sakkari was the 22nd rank in January 2021 and now ends at sixth. A sensational run for her.

The next two players share no surprises as they deserved to be in the Top 10 list. WTA Finals 2021 runners-up, Anett Kontaveit, is 7th on the list with 4351 points. Started the 2021 season at the 23rd spot, the way she has played and defeated the top seeds is a pleasure to watch.

Next up is Paula Badosa, who played the most tournaments, 32, this season. Winning the BNP Paribas Open and Serbia Open, Paula was the first to enter the WTA Finals 2021 semifinalist. However, in the battle of Spaniard Muruguza came out on top. She was ranked 69th in November 2020, and now after one year, she is on her all-time career-high 8th place.

The Pole Iga Swiatek played the least tournament, 16, this season. Jumping nearly 8 spots from 17th to 9th at the end of the season. She was ranked 4th in between however, a slump in her form made her sit 9th. Winning 36 games and two singles titles, her season is also a wonderful journey.

The tenth place goes to the Tunisian, winning 48 games this season. In the latest season, Ons Jabeur was able to get her maiden singles title and was ranked as high as 7th before the WTA Finals. Thanks to the success in Indian Wells, her rankings improved drastically.

Naomi Osaka after having a sweet and salty season has to bear 10 places to be ranked 13th now. With the help of the US Open 2021 fairytale run, Emma Raducanu has made her place in the top 20. Source.
